Join me for a Shootout in the Lakeland, FL area. We’ll start first with SUNRISE at the Florida Polytechnic University at the intersection of I-4 and Polk Parkway. Meeting time is 6:50am. Sunrise at 7:20am. We will photograph the Science and Technology Building designed by Santiago Calatrava which has been designated by architects as one of the World’s “16 most breathtaking buildings!”

Some of the best sunrise shots come BEFORE the sun breaks the horizon so give yourself plenty of time to set up and bring your tripod .

After sunrise, we will journey on to Circle B Bar Reserve, south of Lakeland, for a nature hike along levees surrounding woodlands, marsh and ponds. Prepare to photograph landscape, nature, wildlife and travel as light as possible as these are walking trails only.
Sitting along Lake Hancock between Lakeland and Auburndale, Circle B Bar Reserve encompasses more than 1,200 acres being successfully restored to its original wetlands habitats feeding the Peace River basin. An extensive network of trails with an outer circuit of nearly 6 miles is atop the levees through the vibrant wetlands.
